Assistant Director
|
Jennifer Owens has been ringing handbells for over 30 years and has also written for and directed youth and adult bell choirs. She specializes in high-bell techniques (four-in-hand, shelly) but enjoys playing in any position. A member of Capital Carillon since 1997, she is currently the assistant director, usually conducting one piece per season and assisting with planning and teaching as well as ringing a regular position. Besides handbells, Jennifer’s hobbies include gardening, card-making, and eating as much chocolate as possible. By day, she is a mild-mannered editor of scientific journals for an academic society headquartered in Washington, D.C. |
